Do hospitals steal from the goverment?

My friend went to emergency for an allergy, she is pregnant, she be there resembling 1 hour or so, they gave her a pill, a shot and an ultrasound. They convey her the bill for $3400, the insurance covered everything, but is that the real cost for that ?

pretty standard cost especially since she have to have the ultrasound done (any type of radiology experiment is going to be expensive due to the equipment being used).
most hospitals are not for profit which mode that any money they recieve go directly to tolerant care. paying for medication, new equipment, supplies, etc.
hospitals enjoy to send a detailed bill to the insurance company when they report the claim. if they do not disclose all treatment provided-they run the risk of individual fined a large amount.
Ironically, it is the other mode around. The government (Medicare and Medicaid) does not repay hospitals enough, so the hospitals enjoy to set their prices higher surrounded by order to cover their costs.
That genus of bill sounds about standard, at the present time. It is a good entry she has apposite insurance!
