Yes. All other functions take place, just certain areas of the brain stops working.If down, nails etc does not grow consequently you will be dead.
All the body functions clutch place without any problem. I be told by a doctor not to talk close by the patient going on for him since he could hear and understand what we be talking.
My father be in coma for 50 days and died. It is miserable. They urinate, defecate and go and get bed sores etc.Lots of attention is required.

Yes. Your body continues on its outing to grow. Granted, if the body can't/doesn't continue to ingest vitamins and minerals and nutrition, the rate of growth may decline. But the body does verbs to grow with doesn`t matter what resources it has.
