Yes they can be transmitted sharing specs, food or utensils as well as by kissing if the creature has an helpful cold sore. You may not get a cold sore but you might enjoy virus and it could lie dormant for years or it could flare up. There is no unadulterated way to update with seeing your doc for test and since cold sores a common occurance doubt the doc would consider carrying out tests for this.
You should have never done that. I'm sure that's how you get herpes.
Well it is a possibility but, not as likely. Hepes even the cold sores are a virus. cold sores are herpes simplex 1. Most commonly passed by skin to skin contact. Same beside genital gerpes (simplex 2). Gential herpes can be passed orally.

Just because you hold been exposed does not imply you will get a cold sore. You may never draw from one, you may get one and never carry another, or you may end up getting them over and over. Most family are exposed as children. There's a minority of adults that never become immune, but most adults are immune from previous exposure. So, chances are, if you don't already obtain them as an adult - you won't immediately!
