Do culture grow up while contained by a coma for a long time?

When people are contained by a coma, and they're basically within a vegatitive state (with little or no brain activity), do they still develop? Like, go to the bathroom, gain old (wrinkles and all), grow taller and bigger?Do culture grow up while contained by a coma for a long time?
Yeah, the body still functions. They may not grasp as tall as they would have they not been contained by a coma, but they still have equal general growth. Unless, obviously they do what these parents did to their kid:
